Press Release: Grant Career Center Prepares for Annual “Grant Give Back” Community Service Day
Grant Career Center, Bethel, OH – October 11, 2024
Grant Career Center is thrilled to announce the annual "Grant Give Back," a day dedicated to community service and learning, which will take place on Friday, October 11, 2024. On this day, hundreds of students from Grant Career Center will spread out across southern Clermont County to lend their skills and expertise to 24 public and/or private service learning sites in the surrounding area. This event is a special opportunity for the school to give back to the communities that support its programs and students.
Students will depart the school around 8:30am, ready to tackle a variety of hands-on projects such as painting, repairing, building, and revitalizing properties in the Bethel-Tate Local Schools, Felicity-Franklin Local School District, New Richmond Exempted Village School District, and Williamsburg Local School District
This year, in addition to the off-campus service projects, Grant Career Center will host a special on-campus project in partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a nonprofit dedicated to providing beds for children in need. Students will be working alongside volunteers to build beds for local students without proper sleeping arrangements. Sleep in Heavenly Peace's mission, “No kid sleeps on the floor in our town,” resonates deeply with the values of the Grant Give Back day. For more information on this incredible organization, please visit Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
We are asking any media to be on campus at 10:30am. There will plenty of community service activities happening on campus, and a few work sites just minutes from Grant Career Center.
The event is supported by many generous sponsors, who help make the day of service a success by contributing tools, supplies, and financial support. This year’s sponsors include:
